Clackamas County sets the fees and service standards for franchised companies only in unincorporated areas and for the cities of Happy Valley and Barlow, and it tells residents of other cities to contact the city for their garbage and recycling fees, so the Estacada rates come from the city rather than the county schedule.
A large item pickup does not require being a customer
The county states that large appliances, furniture and other items can be picked up by the garbage and recycling company even if you are not a regular customer, and that residents should call their franchised company for a quote and arrange a pickup time.

From $51 for the Metro South minimum charge for a load up to 240 pounds in the garbage category, with loads over 240 pounds charged a proportion of the 176.70 per ton fee and a transaction fee on staffed scales. Residents delivering to Metro South at 2001 Washington St in Oregon City, with asbestos containing material refused and the county requiring asbestos testing and documentation for construction, demolition and remodeling debris.
Arrange it
Use Metro South at 2001 Washington St in Oregon City, open to the public daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or the Clackamas County Transfer Station at 19600 SE Canyon Valley Rd in Sandy, open Thursday through Monday from 9 a.m. to a last load at 4:30 p.m.
Metro refuses vehicles with drive motors, asbestos containing material, burned material and wildfire ash, flat or built up roofing, loads of liquids, petroleum contaminated soil, radioactive metals and electric vehicle batteries, and customers are responsible for anything they leave behind.
Garbage, recycling, household hazardous waste and yard debris from county residents.
The county asks residents to call ahead to confirm hours and materials accepted, and it states that transfer stations will not accept suspect asbestos containing material without the testing and documentation that Oregon DEQ requires for construction, demolition and remodeling debris.
Thursday through Monday from 9 a.m. to a last load at 4:30 p.m., closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day, and closing at 1 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Phone 503-260-1577.
