Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is not named in the city page, the hauler guides or the transfer station fee schedule, which prices furniture, mattresses and appliances but says nothing about machines. A treadmill, therefore, has to be confirmed with the station before it is loaded.
City cost & eligibility
No exercise machine appears on the transfer station schedule, so there is no published price to quote. Call the station at 1381 Redwood Avenue before the trip, describe the machine and its size, and confirm whether it is charged as furniture or as loose material by volume.
When & how
Call the station first, then take the machine in during open hours and expect it to be handled either as a furniture item or as loose material by volume.
Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it comes apart, keep the frame, deck and console together, and load it so the station attendant can see what the material is before it is tipped.
The Redwood Avenue station applies a minimum charge that covers up to one and a half cubic yards, then charges household trash, yard waste and roofing material by the cubic yard, with compacted material at a higher rate. Single items are different: mattresses and box springs, furniture and appliances each have a printed fee, freight units are priced above standard appliances, and tires are priced by type with the rims counted. Pickup loads start at the small or full size pickup minimum.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
