Get it ready
Break the piece down far enough to lift, and keep extra material inside the hauler's thirty two gallon and forty pound extra can limit. At Metro Central, cover the load, because uncovered loads are charged extra on top of the rate.
Heiberg asks residents to set containers out by 6 a.m. on the collection day and to take them back in within twenty four hours of pickup. Keep the load within the container, because extra cans are limited to thirty two gallons and forty pounds.
The hauler closes only on Christmas and New Year's Day
Heiberg is closed only on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. When either falls on a Thursday, the Maywood Park collection moves to the following day, and garbage is still collected on Thanksgiving. Snow, ice, heat or poor air quality can change the schedule, and the hauler posts updates.
