Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

The association's junk and bulky item list names extra bagged garbage, appliances, electronics, mattresses, furniture, tires, batteries and paint and does not name exercise equipment, so call the local hauler and confirm whether the machine can be collected and what it costs.

Salem operates under a Marion County waste franchise system in which eight individually owned companies are contracted to serve specific areas, and the franchise agreement sets the service levels, pricing and performance standards while local governments regulate the fees. Residents use the association's Find My Hauler tool to identify their company, and the city lists D&O Garbage & Recycling, Loren's Sanitation & Recycling, Pacific Sanitation, Republic Services, Suburban Garbage Services and Valley Recycling & Disposal among the participating haulers.
Weekly garbage and bi-weekly recycling come in three cart packages
Residential service packages are offered at 20, 35 and 65 gallons, each pairing a trash roll cart with a 95 gallon mixed recycling cart, and the services included with garbage service are weekly garbage pickup, bi-weekly mixed recycling pickup and, where available, bi-weekly red bin recycling pickup and weekly organic waste pickup. Sharps can be collected at the door on the regular weekly collection day, with an FDA cleared container available on request.
