Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition material

Special rules apply

Construction and demolition debris is not part of the city's curbside service. The county authority takes it at its own facilities by weight, with size limits and a rule against commercial loads at the waste-to-energy plant.

City cost & eligibility
From $86 per ton of construction and demolition waste at a county authority facility, plus a $15 per ton transfer fee when delivered to the Transfer Station Complex. Lancaster County residents self-hauling the material. The minimum fee is $40 per visit up to 780 pounds at the transfer station and up to 920 pounds at the other accepting sites, loads must be less than four feet in length and width unless delivered to the Frey Farm Landfill, and no commercial construction loads are accepted at the waste-to-energy facility. Concrete, drywall, siding, pavers and liquid paint are among the accepted materials.
When & how
Deliver the load to the Frey Farm Landfill or the Transfer Station Complex during operating hours, tarp every open load, and pay by credit or debit card because the facilities take no cash or checks. Wear closed-toed sturdy shoes and a high-visibility vest, which can be bought at the scale house for a fee.
Get it ready
Keep construction and demolition material out of the weekly trash and out of the oversized item set-out, because the city route does not take it. Separate the load by material, keep it under the four foot size limit unless it is going to the landfill, and secure anything that could blow off the vehicle.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Prepare a self-haul load for the county authority

A load that cannot go curbside goes to a county authority facility, where open loads must be tarped, large items must be secured, and the facilities accept only credit or debit cards. Visitors must wear closed-toed sturdy shoes and a high-visibility vest, which can be bought at the scale house for a fee. A single item under 200 pounds is charged a flat fee, household trash is charged by weight with a minimum per visit, and construction and demolition material has its own rate and size limits.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Lancaster residents can keep most bulky material at the curb: the weekly program takes one oversized item per household, which covers sofas, stuffed chairs, furniture, mattress sets and a carpet roll, as long as two people can lift it. White goods such as refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners are the exception and need the city's monthly program with a tag bought at the Treasury Office. Anything heavier or larger, plus construction material and tires, can be hauled to a county authority facility, where loads are charged by weight or as a single item, open loads must be tarped and payment is by card only. Chemicals, batteries and electronic waste go to the free household hazardous waste facility on Harrisburg Pike. Trash and recyclingResidential disposal ratesHousehold hazardous waste facility

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Lancaster.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Lancaster?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Lancaster?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Where does construction debris go in Lancaster?

To a county authority facility, because construction and demolition waste is not part of the city's curbside collection. It is charged by weight, with the published per ton rate plus a transfer fee when it goes to the Transfer Station Complex, a minimum fee per visit, a four foot limit on length and width unless it is delivered to the Frey Farm Landfill, and no commercial loads at the waste-to-energy facility. Concrete, drywall, siding, pavers and liquid paint are among the accepted materials.Official guidance
