Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.

A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Lancaster has two bulky routes: the city's weekly program takes one oversized item per household, and the county authority takes self-hauled bulky loads at a flat single item price or by weight.
Tires are accepted at county authority facilities at a published per tire price, with car and motorcycle tires charged separately from truck tires and a limit of 15 tires.

The city's weekly program takes one oversized item per household, which covers sofas, stuffed chairs, furniture, mattress and box spring sets and a roll of carpet no wider than four feet. Setting one out limits that week to four trash containers, the item may be no heavier than what two people can lift into a truck, and everything goes out after 6 p.m. the evening before collection and comes back in by 8 p.m. the day of collection.
Trash and recyclingA load that cannot go curbside goes to a county authority facility, where open loads must be tarped, large items must be secured, and the facilities accept only credit or debit cards. Visitors must wear closed-toed sturdy shoes and a high-visibility vest, which can be bought at the scale house for a fee. A single item under 200 pounds is charged a flat fee, household trash is charged by weight with a minimum per visit, and construction and demolition material has its own rate and size limits.

Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.
Yes. Select the bags and boxes, then add each larger item using its own catalog choice. The booking shows one combined price for the selected items. Move everything to an accessible outdoor spot before pickup; indoor carrying and sorting are not included.
