Get it ready
Wipe stored data before a device leaves the house, keep cords and power supplies with their device, bag or box any paper for shredding within the published limit, and keep electronics out of the recycling cart, the bulk pile and, if they are dismantled or have a broken tube, out of the residential centers.
Rinse the residue out and place recyclables directly in the blue cart with no bagging at all. The city takes plastics 1 through 7, paper and cardboard without shredded paper, steel and aluminium cans, motor oil, filters and bottles, cooking oil, usable latex paint and Ni-Cd rechargeable batteries. Glass, plastic bags, lightbulbs, soiled food containers, diapers, Styrofoam, clothes and shoes, toys, cords and string lights, wood and yard debris and water hoses are all refused.
