Cleveland's bulk route publishes an exclusion list rather than an accepted item list, and a mattress is not named anywhere, so the route office has to confirm the bed first.
City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no charge for the bulk route and no mattress line. Confirm the item and the route day with Public Works before the mattress goes to the curb.

Curb the evening before or by 7 a.m. on the route day
The city ordinance allows items at the curb as early as the evening before a scheduled removal day. Put them where Public Works equipment can reach them, without creating a traffic hazard and clear of fences, mailboxes and wires.

Cost & conditions
No charge. City of Cleveland residents, once a month, for regular junk only. The truck is dropped off between 2 and 3 p.m. and collected the next business day after 7 a.m., and the service is not available during November and December.
Arrange it
Request the dump truck from Public Works, load only regular junk while it is on site, and have it ready for collection the next business day.
Demolition debris, hazardous materials and tires must not go in the truck, and the city warns that non-compliance may end your use of the service.
Two systems cover this address. Inside the city, Public Works runs the weekly bulk, brush and yard-waste routes, and it loans a dump truck once a month for regular junk, free of charge and unavailable in November and December; demolition debris, hazardous material, tires, block, concrete, dirt and shingles stay out of both. Outside that route, Bradley County recycles white goods, batteries, used oil and tires for a fee at the landfill on Nature's Trail in McDonald, and runs two recycling yards in Cleveland for glass, paper, cans and plastics. Household garbage is a separate contracted service through Waste Connections rather than a city route, and the county facilities no longer accept electronics.
