Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions, computers and other electronics

Accepted with preparation

Franklin residents can take electronics to the BOPAE drop-off, including flat-screen and tube televisions, and the county runs five free electronics stations for county residents.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. No fee is published for the BOPAE drop-off at 417 Century Court, which serves City of Franklin residents, and the county states that there are no fees for Williamson County residents to recycle electronics at its five City eWaste stations.
When & how
BOPAE is open Monday to Thursday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon, with the gates closing at 4 p.m. The county eWaste page lists seven-day 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours for its stations, while the convenience center hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., so confirm before travelling.
Get it ready
Clear hard drives and remove personal information before drop-off, use the BOPAE gate rather than the scales, and do not leave anything outside opening hours because after-hours dumping can draw a fine. Note that all five county eWaste stations state they will not accept flat-screen televisions at this time.

Construction waste, mattresses and electronics have county routes

Franklin collects no construction debris, so a residential load goes to a Williamson County convenience center within the daily limit or to the landfill on Pinewood Road by weight. Mattresses and box springs are recycled at the Nolensville, Grassland or Landfill convenience center for a published per-piece fee, card only, and electronics go to the city's BOPAE drop-off or one of the five free county eWaste stations.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Franklin residents have a city route and a county route. The city's BOPAE drop-off at 417 Century Court takes batteries, motor oil, oil-based paint, antifreeze, electronics and small appliances on weekdays and the first Saturday morning of each month, and the city collects booked bulky items on Tuesdays and white goods on Thursdays. For everything the city will not take, Williamson County runs ten convenience centers that accept residential household garbage, brush and construction and demolition waste from county residents within a three cubic yard daily limit, three of them recycle mattresses and box springs through the Spring Back programme for a per-piece card payment, and five carry free eWaste stations. Larger loads go to the county landfill on Pinewood Road, where construction material is charged by weight and the last check-in is 3:15 p.m. BOPAE drop-off for batteries, oil, paint, antifreeze and electronicsBulky items and white goods collectionWilliamson County convenience center locations and accepted materialSpring Back mattress and box spring recycling programmeCity eWaste electronics drop-off stationsWilliamson County Landfill hours, rates and limits

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Franklin.

How much does TV removal cost in Franklin?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Franklin?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do televisions and computers go in Franklin?

To the BOPAE drop-off at 417 Century Court, which takes computers, printers, monitors, small appliances, microwaves and televisions including flat screens and tubes, open Monday to Thursday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the first Saturday morning of the month. Williamson County residents can also use the five free City eWaste stations, though none of them will take a flat-screen television.Official guidance
