Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

One collection day a week and a tight set out window

Trash and bulk waste are collected one day each week from Carrollton single-family homes, with the day shown on the city waste services map or confirmed on 972-466-4950. City ordinance wants the material at the designated collection point no earlier than 6 p.m. the evening before and no later than 6:30 a.m. of the collection day, and carts come back off the street no later than 9 a.m. the following day. Bins are placed at least three feet apart and three feet from mailboxes with the lid closed and facing the street, and code violations can be reported on 972-466-3060.

Bulk is a curb pile with a limit, and it is not a dumping ground

Bulk covers appliances, furniture, rugs, mattresses, televisions, tree limbs, fence material and similar large items, and the weekly allowance is three cubic yards of bulk plus three cubic yards of brush. Everything has to be generated on the property by the homeowner, so waste from another site will not be collected, and excess household trash that will not fit the green roll-out container is not bulk at all. Piles need three feet of clearance from bins, mailboxes, gas meters, fences and parked cars and 16 feet of clearance overhead, and limbs are cut into 4-foot lengths and bundled at no more than 40 pounds.

What the curb will not take, and where it goes instead

Brick, tile, stone, concrete blocks, railroad ties, tires and propane tanks are refused, as are very large items that cannot be picked up safely by two individuals, bulk or brush over three cubic yards each, and electronics, batteries, household chemicals, paint and automotive fluids. The alternatives are clear: construction debris, yard waste and household furniture and mattresses go to the Camelot Landfill drop-off on Saturdays inside the six cubic yard monthly allowance for the published fee, household hazardous waste and electronics come to the home through a free appointment, contractors are expected to remove their own project debris, and extra green carts or an off-schedule pickup can be arranged for a fee on 972-466-4950.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self hauling in Carrollton means one Saturday trip to Camelot Landfill at 580 Huffines Blvd. in Lewisville, between 8 AM and Noon, for a fee of eighteen dollars a visit and up to six cubic yards a month. The gate asks for a Texas driver's license together with a City of Carrollton utility water bill showing the matching address, and it turns away household hazardous waste, commercial vehicles or commercial trailers, and any load that is not covered by a tarp or tied down. Construction debris, yard waste and garbage items from inside the home such as furniture and mattresses are the accepted material, and the page helpfully sizes the load for you: a couch counts as about two cubic yards, a large refrigerator about one and three quarters, a queen mattress about one, and a washer or dryer about half a cubic yard. Anything that holds refrigerant still has to be confirmed emptied by a certified professional before it can be collected at the curb, and the free at-home appointment on 469-451-3713 is the route for paint, chemicals, batteries, bulbs, electronics and televisions. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Carrollton.

How much does TV removal cost in Carrollton?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Carrollton?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where does a television go in Carrollton?

That appointment is booked on 469-451-3713 Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by emailing the completed form.Official guidance

Jackson Rd. handling questions and service changes on 972-466-4950. Trash and bulk waste are collected one day each week from single-family homes, with the day shown on the city waste services map, and the office answers calls Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Friday 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM in person and until 5:30 PM by phone.Official guidance

What are the weekly bulk limits?

Three cubic yards of bulk items and three cubic yards of brush and yard waste, set at the street curb in front of the home on the regular collection day. Bulk covers appliances, furniture, rugs, mattresses, televisions, tree limbs and fence material, while excess household trash that will not fit the green roll-out container is not bulk at all, and limbs have to be cut into 4-foot lengths and bundled at no more than 40 pounds.Official guidance

How does the at-home hazardous waste collection work?

Most collections are scheduled two to three weeks out and completed in about two weeks, and the accepted lists cover paint, thinners, fuels, automotive fluids, batteries, bulbs, pool chemicals, cleaners, sharps, extinguishers, televisions, computers, printers, microwaves and cables.Official guidance
