The cleanup after the work

The project is done. Get your space back.

The new bathroom is ready, but the old vanity is still outside. A replaced door is taking up space you need. Put those leftover items on a pickup plan, with the price settled and updates through the final haul-away.

Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

  1. Arrange the removal work

Have the fixture safely detached and any plumbing or electrical connections handled by an appropriate professional. We do not remove installed fixtures or perform demolition.

  2. Keep the booked items separate

Have the fixtures empty and ready at ground level. Keep them apart from rubble, loose renovation materials, tools and anything you want to keep.

  3. Show the outdoor handoff

Use a permitted outdoor spot with a clear path. Add a location photo and notes on your order page so the right entrance and the right items are easy to identify.

Construction and renovation debris

Special rules apply

The district's garbage rules do not address construction or renovation debris, and the only published instruction is to call AmeriWaste for a special pickup when debris does not meet the collection requirements.

City cost & eligibility
No construction rate or accepted list is published. The green waste sheet tells residents to call AmeriWaste on 281-585-3200 to schedule a special pickup for debris that does not meet the requirements, so confirm acceptance and price there before the material goes out.
When & how
Call AmeriWaste on 281-585-3200 to arrange a special pickup, and do not put construction material out with the cart or the four item allowance until it is confirmed.
Get it ready
Keep construction material out of the cart and off the street, keep hazardous material, liquids and chemicals separate, and confirm the load size, the acceptance and the price before transport if you plan to self-haul.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Carts in the street by 7 a.m., two feet clear

The AmeriWaste cart is the only container serviced, and it goes into the street by 7 a.m. with the wheels against the curb and the front facing the street. Leave two feet of space all round from fences, meters, poles, utility boxes, trees, shrubs, mailboxes and other containers, keep vehicles clear so the truck can manoeuvre, bag loose trash, and keep only garbage inside the cart with the lid closed. Carts are set out no earlier than the night before and returned to the property no later than the morning after collection.

Four extra items, and the excluded material stays off the street

Up to four items mixed or matched from bundles, green waste and heavy trash go out with the cart on the collection day. Bundles stay under five feet long, 18 inches in diameter and 50 pounds, green waste goes in bags no heavier than 50 pounds and no more than four bags or bundles, and heavy trash covers anything too big for a cart, with a refrigerant tag required on a refrigerator or freezer. Televisions, computers, monitors, microwaves, paint, tires, motor oil, pool chemicals and cooking oil must never be put on the street.

Galveston County Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 with AmeriWaste Solutions

Arrange a special pickup with AmeriWaste

A Dickinson household with debris that does not meet the cart, bundle, green waste or heavy trash requirements, or with construction material the district does not address.

Cost & conditions
No special pickup rate is published. Call AmeriWaste on 281-585-3200 and confirm the acceptance and the price before the material goes out.
Arrange it
Call AmeriWaste on 281-585-3200 to schedule the special pickup, and keep the material off the street until it is confirmed.

The district publishes the special pickup instruction for debris that does not meet the collection requirements, and it does not publish a construction debris allowance at all, so acceptance is never automatic.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Dickinson's curbside system covers the routine clean-out. AmeriWaste, under the water district's contract, collects twice a week from a 96-gallon cart that is the only container serviced, and any four items mixed from bundles, green waste and heavy trash go out with it. Heavy trash means anything too big for the cart, including appliances and furniture, with a refrigerant tag required on a refrigerator or freezer. Bundles stay under five feet, 18 inches and 50 pounds and green waste is bagged under the same weight. Everything hazardous is off the street: televisions, computers, monitors, microwaves, paint, tires, motor oil, pool chemicals and cooking oil are excluded, and the district routes household hazardous waste free of charge to the Stella Roberts Recycling Center in Pearland with a call ahead and proof of a WCID1 account. Cooking oil has its own free station on 45th Street, and the Texas City Biosphere 1 Recycling Center at 3301 Loop 197 North takes used motor oil, paper, cardboard, aluminium, steel, glass and plastics numbered 1 and 2 at no charge. Debris that does not meet the collection requirements needs a special pickup booked with AmeriWaste on 281-585-3200. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Dickinson.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Dickinson?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Dickinson?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Where does Dickinson renovation debris go?

The district publishes no construction debris collection. The garbage rules cover household garbage, heavy trash and green waste, and the green waste sheet directs debris that does not meet the requirements to a special pickup arranged with AmeriWaste on 281-585-3200, so confirm acceptance and price there before the material leaves the property.Official guidance
