Keep the load inside the published conditions: carpet cut to five feet or less, rolled and under 50 pounds and dry before it goes out; swing sets pulled apart and cut down to five feet or less with a total of 300 pounds or less; doors cut in half. Furniture, mattresses, appliances, water heaters with the water removed, computers and reasonably sized televisions are all on the list, while carpet, swing sets and doors have their own cutting and weight conditions, and construction material, tires, chemicals and projection televisions are refused.
The collection trucks have no lifters, so every bag, can and heavy item is handled by the crew. Garbage bags and cans have to stay at 50 pounds or less and containers at 32 gallons or less, the recycling bin holds only what fits with extra material in a clear bag, and a heavy item that cannot be managed by hand has to be cut down or taken another route.
