Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and remodeling debris

Not on the regular city route

Construction and demolition debris is prohibited at the curb and goes to the Transfer Station by weight, with commercial roll-off containers as the contractor option.

City cost & eligibility
From $4 for minimum fee per 100 pounds for a solid waste utility customer at the Transfer Station, where the per ton rate is $80.00 before tax, a non-utility customer pays $137.60 a ton with a $6.88 per 100 pounds minimum, and the residential free allowance of 500 pounds a month covers qualifying residential waste rather than the fee items. City of Killeen solid waste utility customers or non-utility customers bringing the load to the Transfer Station on State Highway 195 with a valid ID and, for the utility rate, a current Killeen water bill showing active solid waste service.
When & how
Take the load to the Transfer Station on State Highway 195, which runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday and Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and expect the load to be weighed on the scale.
Get it ready
Keep construction material out of the curb pile because it is prohibited there, cover the load because an unsecured load draws a surcharge at the gate, and keep appliances, asbestos, batteries, excavated soil, hazardous materials, liquids and tires out of a roll-off container because those are refused and billed back if found.

One container, one weekly day and a six bag yard waste limit

Killeen splits into four collection areas with garbage service on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday route, and the monthly garbage fee for a 96-gallon container is $19.78. Included in that fee are one weekly collection of garbage or rubbish in the city roll-out container and one weekly collection of yard waste, which is leaves, grass clippings and shrub trimmings in bags only with a six bag limit. Containers go out no earlier than 8 p.m. the evening before and no later than 7 a.m. on the collection day, placed at or near the driveway about four feet from any mailbox, obstacle or other container with the wheels and handle towards the residence.

What the curb refuses, and what the Transfer Station takes

Boats, camper shells, dirt, hazardous waste material, lead acid batteries, liquid waste of any kind, machinery containing oil or gas such as engines and lawn mowers, rock, tires, and construction and demolition debris are all prohibited at the curb. They belong at the Killeen Transfer Station on State Highway 195, which accepts brush, construction and demolition debris, furniture, grass clippings, household garbage, leaves and yard waste, and refuses asbestos, fertilizers, hazardous waste, liquids, medical waste, other TCEQ-prohibited special waste, pesticides, septic waste and animal carcasses. Customers bring a valid ID and a current Killeen water bill showing active solid waste service, an unsecured load draws a $26.25 surcharge, and recycling at the station covers appliances such as stoves, water heaters, washers and dryers.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Killeen.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Killeen?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Killeen?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Can construction debris go out at the curb in Killeen?

No. Construction and demolition debris is on the city's prohibited list for curbside collection, along with tires, rock, dirt, liquid waste, hazardous waste and machinery containing oil or gas. It goes to the Transfer Station on State Highway 195 instead, where a solid waste utility customer pays the published per ton rate with a per 100 pounds minimum, a non-utility customer pays more, and a residential utility account has a free monthly allowance for qualifying waste. Contractors can also rent a 20, 30 or 40 cubic yard roll-off container for construction and demolition debris.Official guidance

What is free at the Transfer Station?

A residential solid waste utility customer may bring up to 500 pounds of qualifying residential waste and up to four mattresses per calendar month at no charge, as long as the waste comes from the primary residence and the customer shows a valid ID and a current Killeen water bill with active service. Air conditioning units, refrigerators, tires and unsecured loads are not included in the free allowance, weight over 500 pounds is billed at the published per hundred pounds rate, and a non-utility or commercial customer pays the higher rate from the first pound.Official guidance

What can never go out at the curb?

Boats, camper shells, dirt, hazardous waste material, lead acid batteries, liquid waste of any kind, machinery containing oil or gas such as engines and lawn mowers, rock, tires, and construction and demolition debris are all prohibited at the curb. Those loads belong at the Transfer Station on State Highway 195, where construction debris, brush, furniture and yard waste are accepted by weight and freon appliances, mattresses outside the residential allowance, tires and unsecured loads carry their own fees.Official guidance
