The documented destination is the household hazardous waste drop-off site at the City of Laredo Landfill, which the city describes as taking batteries, computers, paints and other hazardous materials for residents, so a television in particular has to be confirmed.
City cost & eligibility
The city publishes the household hazardous waste drop-off for computers and other household hazardous material but no fee and no television detail, while electronic waste is prohibited from the bulky service. Call 3-1-1 to confirm that a television or monitor is accepted, when the site is open and whether anything is charged.

Ask 3-1-1 first, then take the devices to the household hazardous waste drop-off at the City of Laredo Landfill rather than adding them to a bulky pile, where they are prohibited.

Wipe personal data from computers and phones, keep cables and remote controls with the device they belong to, keep batteries with the household hazardous waste load rather than the carts, and keep everything electronic out of the blue recycling cart.
Garbage, recycling and lawn clippings are collected once a week, and the Willie Bote cart goes out by 6:30 a.m. about four feet away from large objects with no vehicle blocking it. The cart refuses hot ashes, flammable liquids or solids, solvents, motor oil, hazardous materials, concrete blocks, paint, construction and demolition debris, dirt, rocks and steel, and a second cart can be rented for a monthly fee through the 3-1-1 call centre. Everything bagged keeps maggots out and the cart cleaner.
The landfill is the second route, and it prices by the load
The City of Laredo Landfill on State Highway 359 opens Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting, with utility trailers entering thirty minutes before closing and 18 wheelers inside by 2:30 p.m. A city resident load under two thousand pounds costs two dollars on a weekday and is free on Saturdays up to a ton, weight beyond the first ton is charged by the ton, tires are free in limited numbers for residents, used motor oil and mulch are free, and the household hazardous waste drop-off takes batteries, computers and paints from residential households.
