Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

No published list names an exercise machine and no price exists for one. Call Republic Services on 713-726-7307 or the city on 3-1-1 and confirm whether the machine counts as a large household item on the bulky day or needs another arrangement.
When & how
Confirm the item first, then set it out on the bulky waste day if the city accepts it rather than on a cart day.
Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it comes apart, keep the frame, deck and console parts together, and keep it four feet clear of other objects at the curb.
Bulky collection is a separate service from the carts and runs once a month on a Monday, on a day households look up by address. Material goes out by 7 a.m. and no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before, households may set out up to five cubic yards, and everything sits at the curb at least four feet from other objects. Three extra collections follow the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's holidays at no additional cost, and any more than that is booked and paid for through Republic Services.

Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
