A replacement is on the way.

Give the old couch its own pickup day. Check what your retailer will remove, then book the part you still need handled.

The right sofa. The right price.

Count the sections, not the cushions.

A loveseat, a sleeper and a sectional can look similar in a photo. Match the shape and features so your online price covers what is actually going.

Three structural sectional modules slightly separated, with all cushions remaining on their bases.
This example has three structural sections. The cushions do not add to the count.

A straight sofa or loveseat

Choose Standard sofa for fixed seats with no pull-out bed or reclining mechanism. One whole sofa is one item.

A sectional

Count its structural sections, not the loose cushions. Choose the piece count, then check for a sleeper or reclining feature. One sectional booking covers the configuration you select.

A pull-out bed or reclining seats

Choose Sleeper sofa or Reclining sofa for those mechanisms. A single reclining chair has its own Recliner choice. All sofa types also includes futons and sofas with a chaise.

Accepted with preparation

Home furnishing such as chairs, tables and couches is named as material the City payload bulk service collects, and the pickup is booked rather than set out on a regular trash morning.

City cost & eligibility
From $33.5 for initial trip charge for the payload bulk service, plus a loading fee for each minute of loading time. Residential and commercial service units inside the City of Wichita Falls, booked with the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977, with the loading time billed in addition to the trip charge.
When & how
Call the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977 to request the pickup, then leave the furniture at the curb or at a location the Sanitation superintendent approves, at least five feet from any horizontal obstruction and 13.5 feet from any vertical obstruction.
Get it ready
Keep the load clear of utility poles, trees and parked vehicles so the collection vehicle can reach it, and keep white goods in a separate pile from other bulky material.

Twice a week trash routes split at the Kell Freeway

The City collects household trash twice a week, with Monday and Thursday for addresses north of the Kell Freeway and Tuesday and Friday for addresses south of it. Containers go out no later than 7 a.m. on the collection day, the cart is set at the curb clear of power lines and tree limbs with the wheels facing the house, and the ordinance requires limbs near the collection point to be trimmed to the published clearance so the automated vehicle is not damaged.

Bulky material is booked, not set out on the trash morning

The payload bulk service is requested from the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977 and is charged as an initial trip charge plus a loading fee for each minute of loading time. All material has to be at the curb or at a location the Sanitation superintendent approves, at least five feet from any horizontal obstruction and 13.5 feet from any vertical obstruction. The published examples are bulky waste, home furnishing such as chairs, tables, couches and mattresses, white goods such as washers, dryers and stoves, and construction and demolition debris such as carpet, padding, dismantled fences, sinks and commodes, and white goods must be separated so a vehicle with a mechanical boom and grapple can lift them.

The landfill at 10984 Wiley Road refuses oils and oil filters, hazardous materials and vehicle tires of any type, and it charges construction and demolition material and organic material by weight for loads that do not come from the household's own primary residence.

A few things
worth knowing.

Couch removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Wichita Falls.

How much does couch removal cost in Wichita Falls?

A standard sofa is $79 as the first item and $29 additional. Sectionals, sleepers and reclining sofas have their own choices. Select everything that is going to see the combined price before booking. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; any applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can you pick up my couch today?

Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Available dates appear at checkout. Have the couch outside and accessible according to your confirmation. We send pickup updates and photos when it is done; the booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time.

How do I book a sectional for removal?

Open Sectional in the sofa choices, count its structural sections, and select any sleeper or reclining feature. Count the sections with their own bases, not loose cushions. The matching catalog choice covers one complete sectional of that configuration. Text a photo before booking if you are unsure.

Will you carry my couch out of my apartment?

Dropcurb starts outside. Arrange for the sofa to be moved through the apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load and haul it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Arrange any dismantling needed to get it outside beforehand.

Do I need to wait at home for couch pickup?

You do not need to be home when your booked sofa is outside and accessible. Add photos and pickup-location notes to your order so the right pieces are easy to identify. We send updates and completion photos. Confirm any building access restrictions with us before booking.
