Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Chesapeake does not collect construction debris in the bulk pile, in line with City Code section 62-59. Homeowner remodeling material can be self-hauled to an SPSA transfer station or the Regional Landfill, and contractor debris stays the contractor's responsibility.

Get it ready
Separate rigid items such as fencing, pipe, timber and metal stock so each piece is no longer than 6 feet and 6 inches in diameter. Large broken concrete loads and anything oversized go to the Regional Landfill, and the material has to come from your own household project rather than a contractor.
Request the collection before anything goes out, keep household items in a pile separate from yard debris, and stay inside one 4-foot by 4-foot by 10-foot household stack per week. Tape glass surfaces, remove refrigerator and freezer doors, and leave small debris that fits a bag to the resident after the truck has passed.
Bring proof of residency and a personal vehicle or a trailer up to 12 feet with no tools or equipment. Loose yard waste has to be bagged, rigid items must be no longer than 6 feet and 6 inches in diameter, and the load is screened for unauthorized waste at the station.

Arrange it
Deliver the load to 901 Hollowell Lane during residential hours and expect staff to screen it for unauthorized waste.
Proof of residency is required and later visits are billed by weight. Loose yard waste must be bagged, rigid items must be no longer than 6 feet and 6 inches in diameter, and box trucks, cargo vans, marked vehicles and trailers over 12 feet are treated as commercial.

Contractor debris is refused and the material has to come from the resident's own household project. Appliances without a refrigerant-free certification sticker, boats with batteries and liquids removed, large loads of broken concrete, scrap metal at no charge, limbs and stumps larger than 6 feet or 6 inches in diameter, non-friable asbestos siding and tile by appointment, and automobile tires up to 4 per day, with yard soil charged the published rate.
Only automobile tires are free and only up to 4 per day; larger or off-road tires are billed. Asbestos shingles need an appointment and the material must be double-bagged and taped closed. Batteries and liquids must be removed from boats, and the driver still passes the station's residency and vehicle checks.

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.
Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?+
Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.
Will Chesapeake collect construction debris in the bulk pile?+
No. The city excludes construction and demolition debris, wood and fencing, carpet, roofing material and landscaping byproducts from bulk collection. Why does a Chesapeake pickup depend on which program serves the address?+
Chesapeake is an independent city, and the City Waste Management Division collects from the residences it serves rather than from a surrounding county. A residence outside that service area, or a building whose waste is handled privately, has to use the SPSA transfer stations instead, and those sites serve member-community residents with proof of residency.Official guidance
