When & how
Schedule the set on the MyNorfolk app or portal, by email, or by calling (757) 664-6510 no later than 3 p.m. the day before the collection day, and set it out on the normal trash day.
Get it ready
Set the mattress and box springs out after 5 p.m. the day before collection and no later than 7 a.m. on the collection day, keep the set clear of parked cars, poles, mailboxes, fences and low overhead wires, and count it as one of the twelve bulk collections allowed in a year.
Items may be taken to the curb beginning at 5 p.m. the day before collection and no later than 7 a.m. on the collection day, and the 90 gallon container has to be removed from the curb by 11:30 p.m. on the day of collection.
Overflow trash and bulk waste have to be scheduled, and the request has to reach the city no later than 3 p.m. the day before the collection day.
