Desks and bookshelves
Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

The drive-thru recycling event is for Federal Way apartment complexes and takes appliances such as microwaves and toasters, mattresses, styrofoam with peanuts bagged, soft plastics including bags, film and packaging, clean wood including furniture and pallets, and metal including furniture, cabinets, bikes, scooters and pots. Refrigerants and hazardous waste are refused, and residents bring the postcard voucher as proof of residence.

Cost & conditions
No charge. The event is free to multi-family residents in Federal Way who bring the postcard voucher as proof of residence, with eligible residents able to request one by email if it did not arrive.
Arrange it
Drive to the South King Tool Library on the posted event date during the stated hours and follow the queue instructions.
Refrigerants and hazardous waste are refused, the event is limited to apartment complexes in the city, and residents outside that scope have to use the public events or the Recycle Coach tool for other options.
