Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is refused at the city's electronics event and is not named by the city or the county, so a treadmill or a weight machine has to be arranged with the hauler or taken to a county station as a garbage load.
City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no bulky program and its electronics event lists exercise equipment among the items it will not take, so confirm a pickup and price with the hauler for the address, or take the machine to a county transfer station where it is billed as garbage at the flat minimum under 360 pounds or the per ton rate above it.

Get it ready
Take the machine down as far as it comes apart, keep the console out of the load and route any electronic parts through an E-Cycle location instead, and keep the machine out of the curbside carts and off the city event ground.

Lynnwood runs its own collection events for residents only, generally an e-waste and styrofoam day in January and June, a shredding day in April and October, and a recycling event in March. The electronics event takes flat screen televisions, computers, printers, scanners, networking gear, audio equipment, cell phones, cameras, lithium-ion laptop and UPS batteries and microwaves, and refuses tube and projection televisions, CRT monitors, large appliances, water heaters, barbecues, furniture, exercise equipment, air conditioning units, propane tanks, anything with liquids or fuel, and batteries that are not lithium-ion.
The Southwest Recycling and Transfer Station at 21311 61st Place West in Mountlake Terrace is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. apart from New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, and bills a flat minimum for loads under 360 pounds or a per ton rate above it with customers unloading their own vehicles. Household sofas, appliances, mattresses, doors, carpets and rugs are accepted as garbage, and the county's six foot and 25 square foot size exception for those pieces is published for the North County station and the drop boxes rather than for this one, so confirm an oversized piece at the scale house. Tires are limited to five a day in passenger and pickup sizes, and electronics, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, heat pumps, liquid waste and yard debris are refused.
