Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions, computers and monitors

Special rules apply

Computers and flat screen televisions are on the cleanup list, while the city routes electronic waste generally to the state E-Cycle Washington programme.

City cost & eligibility
A computer or flat screen television can use one of the two large item slots in the no charge Annual Curbside Cleanup, and the city names E-Cycle Washington on 360-407-7157 for electronic waste without publishing a fee, so confirm the route for the device before the trip.
When & how
Book the cleanup seven days ahead on 877-466-4668, or call E-Cycle Washington on 360-407-7157 to find an accepting site for a device that is not a computer or a flat panel set.
Get it ready
The cleanup list names computers and flat screen televisions and does not name tube televisions, so a tube set should go through E-Cycle Washington rather than the curbside pile. Wipe personal data before handover, and keep electronics out of the recycling cart, which takes only the listed containers, paper and cardboard.

Right item.
Right place.

What the cleanup will never take

A scheduled cleanup pickup with prohibited material is rejected. The list covers any liquid, automotive waste and fluids, car batteries, running gears, car body parts, construction and demolition material, concrete, asphalt, drywall, masonry, roofing, siding, insulation, structural metal, in-fill, sand, rocks, dirt, vinyl flooring, thermometers, thermostats, fluorescent bulbs, mercury added batteries, mercury switches and hazardous waste, and the hauler reserves the right to refuse anything not listed or anything too large or heavy to handle safely.

For your Dropcurb pickup

City of Spokane Valley with WM curbside collection and Sunshine Disposal transfer station

Use the Annual Curbside Cleanup

A subscribed single-family WM household with two large items, a mattress, an appliance, a computer or a flat screen television to clear out.

Cost & conditions
No charge. WM and the city give all WM residential customers one no charge bulky waste collection per calendar year, for City of Spokane Valley single-family residents who subscribe to WM collection and hold an account in good standing.
Arrange it
Call 877-466-4668 or email seven days ahead, avoid holiday weeks, and put the items out no more than 24 hours before the collection and never on the sidewalk.

Two large items and about one cubic yard of small items under 65 lbs is the annual limit, oil and fuel have to be drained, and liquids, automotive parts and fluids, construction material, concrete, drywall, roofing, insulation, dirt, rocks, fluorescent bulbs and hazardous waste are refused.

Send other electronics to E-Cycle Washington

A household with a tube television, a monitor or another electronic device that is not a computer or a flat screen set.

Cost & conditions
The city names E-Cycle Washington on 360-407-7157 for electronic waste without publishing a fee, so confirm the accepting site and any charge on that line.
Arrange it
Call 360-407-7157 to find the nearest accepting site, and keep the device out of the recycling cart and off the cleanup pile unless it is a computer or a flat screen set.

Tube televisions are not on the cleanup list, and the city's recycling programme takes only containers, paper and cardboard, so electronic devices need the state programme or a cleanup slot for a listed device.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Spokane Valley.

How much does TV removal cost in Spokane Valley?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Spokane Valley?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do Spokane Valley televisions and computers go?

Computers and flat screen televisions are on the acceptable list for the Annual Curbside Cleanup, which allows two large items in a no charge collection for subscribed WM single-family homes. For other electronic waste the city names E-Cycle Washington on 360-407-7157, and tube televisions are not on the cleanup list, so they belong on the state programme.Official guidance
