Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Bulky waste is scheduled with the hauler at 479-878-1384 at least 48 hours before the bulk day. The bulk day follows the normal service day: first Monday, first Tuesday, second Wednesday, third Thursday or fourth Friday of the month, so a Friday address gets the fourth Friday.
Get it ready
Keep bagged trash out of the bulky pile, because anything in a bag is treated as household trash and is not collected. Approved bulky items are furniture, common household appliances without freon, artificial Christmas trees, grills, large toys and toy parts, mattresses wrapped in plastic, tools, carpet and padding cut into 4 by 4 sections, and fire pits.
Everything goes to the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on the service day. The cart sits less than three feet from the street curb, at least three feet from the recycling cart, at least six feet from a mailbox and at least ten feet from a fire hydrant, with the lid facing the road and the wheels toward the house.
Bulky waste is a scheduled monthly pickup, not a weekly one. Call 479-878-1384 at least 48 hours ahead, count on the bulk day that matches your service day, and keep two items a month inside the included allowance with extra items paid in advance.
Anything in a bag is treated as household trash and is not collected with bulky waste. Wrap mattresses in plastic, cut carpet and padding into 4 by 4 sections, and keep refused items such as televisions, refrigerators, tires and construction debris off the pile entirely.

Where does yard waste go?+
Yard waste is refused in the garbage cart and on the bulky pile. Households inside the city limits may drop allowed yard waste at the Yard Waste Facility at no charge with government issued photo identification, and curbside pickup uses purchased paper bags scheduled with GFL at 479-878-1384.
