Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions

Accepted with preparation

There is no free television route in Prescott. Flat panel and CRT sets are billed as trash, and an analog television is listed at the appliance rate, so every television goes to the Transfer Station scale and never into the recycling cart.

City cost & eligibility
$20 for solid waste tipping fee at the Transfer Station with a $20.00 minimum load charge covering up to 300 pounds, billed at $125.00 per ton. Self-haul the television to the Sundog Ranch Road Transfer Station. The city bills flat panel and CRT sets as trash, and lists an analog set at the same rate as an appliance.
When & how
Take the set to the Transfer Station between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Ask the booth staff to separate any free electronics in the same load so only the television is weighed as trash.
Get it ready
Keep the television out of the green recycle cart and out of the bulk appointment pile. Remove loose batteries and cables, protect the screen so it does not shatter in transport, and secure and cover the load before you arrive.

City of Prescott Solid Waste Division

Haul the load to the Transfer Station

A household with a heavy couch, a mattress set, a television, an appliance or a load that is too large for the annual appointment.

Cost & conditions
From $20 for minimum load charge at the Transfer Station, with solid waste billed at $125.00 per ton, clean brush at $91.00 per ton and clean inert debris at $62.50 per ton. Any customer self-hauling a load to the Sundog Ranch Road Transfer Station. Every load is weighed and paid at the booth in cash, check or credit card, and an authorized solid waste charge account can be billed monthly instead.
Arrange it
Take the load to 2800 Sundog Ranch Road between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Secure, contain and cover the load first, because the city code requires it, then weigh in at the booth.

The station does not accept tires, paint, propane tanks, toxic or hazardous material, anything containing asbestos, car batteries, household hazardous waste, or an appliance that holds refrigerant without an evacuation certificate. Construction debris arrives as a self-haul load rather than through the bulk appointment.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Prescott.

How much does TV removal cost in Prescott?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Prescott?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do televisions go in Prescott?

Televisions go to the Transfer Station and are billed as trash. Flat panel sets, CRT televisions and old monitors are all charged as trash rather than recycled free, and an analog set is listed at the appliance rate. Remove the batteries and cables first, and keep the set out of the recycling cart.Official guidance

Can I take a load to the Prescott Transfer Station myself?

Yes. The Transfer Station at 2800 Sundog Ranch Road is open Monday through Saturday and takes household garbage, construction debris, furniture, appliances and yard waste, with the charge calculated by weight at the booth.
