Mattresses and box springs appear on the town acceptable bulk trash list, so they go out with the monthly bulk pickup and there is no separate mattress program or mattress line item to arrange.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Covered by the standard monthly service fee for a household with an active Town of Queen Creek trash and recycling account, which includes one bulk collection a month of up to six cubic yards.
When & how
Add the mattress to a scheduled bulk pickup, requested by noon on the business day before the collection date, and set it out with the rest of the load.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry, stack it with the rest of the bulk load, and put it curbside by 6 a.m. on the scheduled day inside the six cubic yard allowance.
Bulk trash is scheduled rather than assumed in Queen Creek. The town asks for the request by noon on the business day before the pickup, submitted through the Collection tab of its trash widget, and the household needs a current and active town trash and recycling account. Collection runs Monday through Friday, so a weekend date is not available.
Put it out by 6 a.m. and keep the load to six cubic yards
Everything for the bulk pickup must be curbside by 6 a.m. on the scheduled day, and the load cannot exceed six cubic yards, which the town compares to about six dishwashers. Collection can take up to 48 hours. Anything left at the curb on that date will be collected, including containers and cans, so bring in whatever you intend to keep.
