Appliance pickup in Queen CreekCity collection Large appliances such as microwaves, washers and dryers are accepted in the town bulk trash collection, but the same list excludes refrigerators and freezers, and the discounted self-haul transfer station refuses them as well, so a cooling appliance needs a confirmed route before anything is set out. A washer, dryer or microwave rides along with the included bulk pickup at no extra cost. A refrigerator or freezer is refused by the bulk program, by the discounted transfer station and by the household hazardous waste program, so confirm a retailer or private route and its price before the pickup date rather than leaving the unit at the curb.

The local disposal guide
Queen Creek handles household clutter through a monthly curbside bulk trash collection rather than a walk-up transfer counter. The town Environmental Services Division serves about 25,000 homes inside the incorporated limits and contracts the collection work to Waste Connections of Arizona, and the standard monthly service fee already includes one bulk pickup of up to six cubic yards. Residents schedule that pickup through the town's collection widget, set everything curbside by 6 a.m. on the scheduled day, and can add another collection for a published fee through the town's application form. The acceptable item list covers furniture, mattresses, box springs, microwaves, washers, dryers and bagged yard debris, while refrigerators, freezers, carpet, tires, paint, batteries, motor oil and all construction material are refused. For the loads the town will not take, residents can drive to a discounted transfer station, use household hazardous waste vouchers or order a private container.

Mattresses and box springs appear on the town acceptable bulk trash list, so they go out with the monthly bulk pickup and there is no separate mattress program or mattress line item to arrange.
Large appliances such as microwaves, washers and dryers are accepted in the town bulk trash collection, but the same list excludes refrigerators and freezers, and the discounted self-haul transfer station refuses them as well, so a cooling appliance needs a confirmed route before anything is set out.
Televisions and electronics are not on the town acceptable bulk trash list, so they do not travel with the monthly curbside pickup. The town instead holds QC Recycles drop-off events a few times a year for electronics, and the Gilbert household hazardous waste facility that Queen Creek residents reach with a town voucher takes computer equipment and cell phones but refuses CRT monitors, CRT televisions and rear projectors.
Construction material is refused by the town bulk trash collection, which names concrete, dirt, rock, gravel, drywall, pavers, wood and brick, while the discounted self-haul transfer station does accept construction materials and carpet inside its 1,000 pound limit, so a renovation load can use that route or a private container.
Exercise equipment is not named on the town acceptable or non-acceptable bulk trash lists, so a treadmill or weight machine has to be confirmed with the town before it is set out. Queen Creek publishes no exercise equipment rule of its own.
Queen Creek runs a monthly bulk trash pickup for households with an active town trash and recycling account, and the standard monthly service fee includes one collection of up to six cubic yards. The town publishes both an acceptable item list and set-out tips that govern what may go to the curb.
The handoff matters
Bulk trash is scheduled rather than assumed in Queen Creek. The town asks for the request by noon on the business day before the pickup, submitted through the Collection tab of its trash widget, and the household needs a current and active town trash and recycling account. Collection runs Monday through Friday, so a weekend date is not available.

Collection can take up to 48 hours. Anything left at the curb on that date will be collected, including containers and cans, so bring in whatever you intend to keep.
