Will the city take it?
Gilbert's bulk route takes approved oversized household items on an assigned week. Large appliances need a separate appointment, while television type determines whether to use bulk trash or household electronics drop-off.
Refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, water heaters and air conditioners need a separate appliance appointment.

Get it ready
Empty refrigerators and freezers completely and make them odor-free. Ask about door preparation and the exact unit.
Set approved bulk goods in the street against the curb, at least five feet from obstacles. The window opens Saturday before the collection week and closes at 5 a.m. Monday.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Gilbert publishes a separate transfer-station program requiring matching identification and a current, non-delinquent Town utility bill. Confirm the once-per-thirty-days allowance, one-ton limit and receiving rules before travel. Appliances, TVs and hazardous waste are excluded from that program. Can I book a pickup for today?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Choose from the dates shown at checkout. Your booking is for a pickup day, and we text you when your hauler is on the way.
Do my items need to be outside when I book?+
You can book while your items are still inside. Arrange any indoor carrying and have everything outside and accessible according to your confirmation. We load and haul it away from there. Contact us before booking if your property has restricted access.
Can I add an unlimited furniture pile?+
No. Follow the single-pile limit or request an approved special collection for an oversized load.Official guidance
