Will the city take it?
Scottsdale provides monthly brush and bulk for paid residential collection customers. Furniture and mattresses use that route; appliances need a separate appointment and eligible electronics go to announced recycling events.
Major appliances have a separate monthly collection. Cooling units require special preparation before the City will take them.

Get it ready
For cooling appliances, use a certified technician to recover refrigerant and remove the compressor. Remove refrigerator/freezer doors, hinges, lids and latches.
Set out no earlier than three days before Monday of the collection week. Leave at least three feet between bulk and green-waste piles and four feet from fixed objects. Use the front property line or your own side of an alley, keeping access clear; check any stricter HOA rules.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Household solid waste, couches, mattresses, construction and demolition debris, and appliances in their applicable disposal categories.
For the Scottsdale allowance, use a paid single-family residential solid-waste account, printed current utility bill and matching driver's license. One load per calendar week, no more than two thousand pounds, in a non-commercial vehicle with three-quarter-ton capacity or less or capacity no greater than one and a half cubic yards. Cover and secure the load. Confirm restricted items and special handling.
The account program covers qualifying standard loads; special handling, cooling appliances, excess loads or missing documentation can create charges. Confirm the complete load total.

Can I book a pickup for today?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Choose from the dates shown at checkout. Your booking is for a pickup day, and we text you when your hauler is on the way.
Do my items need to be outside when I book?+
You can book while your items are still inside. Arrange any indoor carrying and have everything outside and accessible according to your confirmation. We load and haul it away from there. Contact us before booking if your property has restricted access.
Will crews return if I miss their visit?+
No. Put the approved pile out for the assigned week before crews service the street; they make one visit.Official guidance
