Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Televisions

Accepted with preparation

Televisions are listed on the Community Cleanup accepted items, and the Yuma household hazardous waste events accept television sets.

City cost & eligibility
The Yuma household hazardous waste events are free to county residents, while the city publishes no cleanup charge and the hauler's curbside e-waste pickup carries an unpublished additional charge, so confirm the route and any cost before the set is moved.
When & how
Set the television out during the Community Cleanup from Sept. 28 to Nov. 25, 2026, or take it to a Yuma household hazardous waste event on Jan. 10, April 11 or Nov. 14, 2026 between 8 a.m. and noon at 1473 S 2nd Avenue.
Get it ready
Keep the screen whole, wipe stored data where the set powers on, and keep it out of the carts. At the hazardous waste event, residents unload their items on the designated tables and containers are not returned.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Follow the Community Cleanup set-out rules

During the Community Cleanup campaign, place items in front of the home without obstructing the sidewalk, streets or water meters, and not in the alley unless the home faces the alley. Items must be out by 6 a.m. on the scheduled week for the area, cannot be set out more than a week before that date, and the city passes each residence once only, with collection possibly running one to two days late.

For your Dropcurb pickup

City of San Luis Public Works and C&D Disposal

Annual Community Cleanup

Appliances, furniture, mattresses, tires without rims, bundled wood and branches, bagged leaves, computers and other e-waste, televisions and carpets from a San Luis residence.

Cost & conditions
The city publishes no cleanup charge and directs residents to Public Works for fees. Confirm any cost and the current campaign details at 928-341-8577 before loading.
Arrange it
Find the scheduled week for your area with the campaign map or address lookup, then put items in front of the home by 6 a.m. on that week, without setting anything out more than a week early. Questions go to Public Works at 928-341-8577.

Hazardous waste such as motor oil, pesticides, paint and pool chemicals, construction material such as concrete, dirt, rocks and bricks, commercial dumping, abandoned vehicles and parts, large tree stumps and propane tanks are refused. Wood and branches must be no longer than four feet and tied or bundled, and leaves must be bagged.

With a new purchase

Arrange a hauler bulky pickup

Furniture, large appliances, and electronic waste or a refrigerator that cannot wait for the cleanup campaign.

Cost & conditions
Bulky item pickups, e-waste and refrigerator pickups and overflow collection all carry an additional charge that the hauler page does not publish, so the amount is quoted by customer service.
Arrange it
Contact the hauler that serves San Luis and arrange the pickup for your regular collection day, describing each item and whether it can be handled by a two-person crew.

Items must be set out as arranged and nothing is collected outside a container without that arrangement. A job needing more than two people is handled with a temporary collection dumpster instead of a bulky pickup.

Residents unload their items on the designated tables and bins and containers are not returned. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in San Luis.

How much does TV removal cost in San Luis?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in San Luis?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Can a television go out with the San Luis cleanup?

Yes. Televisions are named on the Community Cleanup accepted list, which also covers computers, monitors, printers and other e-waste, and the Yuma household hazardous waste events accept television sets as household electronic waste.Official guidance

When is the San Luis Community Cleanup?

The 2026 campaign runs from Sept. 28 to Nov. 25, 2026 and is available to San Luis residents only. Use the campaign map or address lookup for your area's week, put items in front of the home by 6 a.m. on that week, and expect a possible one to two day delay.Official guidance

What does a bulky item pickup cost in San Luis?

The city publishes no price for a bulky pickup. C&D Disposal handles bulky items, e-waste and refrigerators from the curb and states that there is an additional charge for each service, so call customer service for a quote, and ask Public Works at 928-341-8577 about the Community Cleanup during its campaign window because the city publishes no cleanup charge.Official guidance

Where does paint, oil and batteries go in San Luis?

Household hazardous waste may not go through the residential collection programme, and the city's hauler directs residents to a certified collection centre. The free Yuma household hazardous waste events are open to Yuma County residents on Jan. 10, April 11 and Nov. 14, 2026 from 8 a.m. to noon at 1473 S 2nd Avenue, and they take motor oil, paint, cleaners, antifreeze, solvents, batteries other than lead-acid, pesticides and household electronic waste.Official guidance
