$50 for the published Special Pickup sticker price for one pickup, charged for each large item set out. Appliances set out for a scheduled special pickup. A refrigerator or freezer must have the Freon removed by a Section 608 certified professional before the pickup is scheduled.
When & how
Have the Freon removed first if the appliance is a refrigerator or freezer, then buy the sticker and call Public Works at (520) 458-5775 to be added to the pickup list.
Get it ready
Keep the appliance out of the trash bin, set it inside the load limit within 3 feet of the sidewalk, and put the sticker where a driver can see it from the street.
A special pickup load stays inside 4 by 6 by 3 feet or a 2.5 cubic yard limit and sits within 3 feet of the sidewalk, never on the sidewalk or in the roadway. Each large item needs its own sticker, placed where a driver can see it from the street.
A refrigerator or freezer cannot be scheduled until the Freon has been removed by a Section 608 certified professional. Once that is done, buy the sticker and call Public Works at (520) 458-5775 so the item is added to the next available pickup list.

The load cannot exceed 4 by 6 by 3 feet or 2.5 cubic yards, it goes within 3 feet of the sidewalk rather than in the street, and a refrigerator or freezer needs certified Freon removal first.

Will you disconnect my appliance or carry it out?+
Dropcurb picks up appliances that are already disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange uninstallation, utility disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Use a qualified professional for gas, hardwired or plumbing connections when needed. We handle loading and haul-away from the outdoor pickup spot.
Can I book if the delivery company did not take my old appliance?+
Yes. Dropcurb pickup is separate from buying or installing a replacement, so you can book removal on its own. Select the old appliance, choose a pickup day and arrange for it to be disconnected and accessible outside. If your new delivery is still ahead, confirm the retailer’s haul-away arrangements before booking a separate pickup.
Can I put a refrigerator out for pickup?+

Who collects trash in Sierra Vista?+
The City's Public Works Department collects residential trash twice a week, on either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, for addresses inside the city limits and at Fort Huachuca. Does Sierra Vista collect recycling at the curb?+
No. The City ended curbside recycling in 2019 when global demand for recyclable materials fell, and it points residents to drop-off locations around the city instead.
