Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

  1. Arrange the removal work

Have the fixture safely detached and any plumbing or electrical connections handled by an appropriate professional. We do not remove installed fixtures or perform demolition.

  2. Keep the booked items separate

Have the fixtures empty and ready at ground level. Keep them apart from rubble, loose renovation materials, tools and anything you want to keep.

  3. Show the outdoor handoff

Use a permitted outdoor spot with a clear path. Add a location photo and notes on your order page so the right entrance and the right items are easy to identify.

Construction and remodeling debris

Special rules apply

Construction debris is not part of the City's residential collection, and it moves either into a rented dumpster or to the Cochise County transfer station on Highway 90.

City cost & eligibility
The City publishes no construction debris collection rate because it does not collect the material. A rented dumpster is quoted by the City when the size and delivery are arranged, and a self hauled load to the county transfer station is weighed at the published urban rate with a minimum charge per load.
When & how
Arrange a dumpster with the City or plan the transfer station trip before the project starts, because nothing from a project waits for the twice weekly bin collection.
Get it ready
Keep lumber, drywall, tile, roofing material, concrete and demolition debris out of the trash bin and off the special pickup pile. The City compost facility refuses construction and demolition waste as well, so the transfer station or a container is the route.

Rent a dumpster for a big job

Households and businesses with a cleanup or a project bigger than a sticker load.

Cost & conditions
The City quotes dumpster rental by size and delivery rather than publishing a rate, so ask for the current price when the size and drop off date are arranged.
Arrange it
Residents email Utilities@SierraVistaAZ.gov or call (520) 458-3315 for the size, availability, delivery and pickup arrangements. Commercial customers can go up to a roll off container.

Sized for projects that will not fit the twice weekly bin or a single sticker load, and the container still has to be loaded with material the site will accept.

Haul the load to the county transfer station

Residents hauling construction debris, electronics, paint, batteries, metal, motor oil, antifreeze or tires.

Cost & conditions
From $5 for the published minimum charge per load at an urban transfer station, with loads weighed at the per ton rate on the county fee schedule effective July 1, 2026. Residential loads delivered to the Sierra Vista transfer station. Non-commercial household hazardous waste stays free of charge, and an unsecured load carries a published penalty.
Arrange it
Deliver the load to 7201 E Highway 90 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The station appears on the City's drop-off directory for construction debris, e-waste, paint, batteries, metal, motor oil, antifreeze, cardboard and tires.

The urban station charges by weight with a minimum per load rather than by the piece, and the per item bulky and mattress rates on the county schedule belong to the rural stations instead.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Sierra Vista has no City landfill, but the Cochise County transfer station at 7201 E Highway 90 sits inside the city limits and opens Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. It is the drop-off the City directory names for construction debris, electronics, household paint, batteries, metals, motor oil, antifreeze, corrugated cardboard and up to five tires, and urban loads are weighed with a minimum charge per load while non-commercial household hazardous waste stays free. Green waste goes to the City compost facility on the same highway at mile marker 325, which takes grass, trimmings, weeds, cactus, succulents and branches up to 15 inches wide and 5 feet long, free for sanitation customers who bring a current bill, and which refuses lumber, metal, dirt, rocks, stumps and construction debris. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Sierra Vista.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Sierra Vista?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Sierra Vista?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

How does Sierra Vista handle construction debris?

The City's residential collection does not take it. Debris goes into a rented dumpster, with a three cubic yard container offered to residents and larger containers or a roll-off offered to commercial customers, or it is hauled to the Cochise County transfer station at 7201 Highway 90, which appears in the City directory under construction debris.Official guidance

Can project debris go to the compost facility?

No. The City compost facility accepts green waste only and states that trash, food waste, dirt, rocks, tree stumps, palm leaves, lumber, metal and construction and demolition waste cannot be accepted there, because those materials are prohibited in compost facilities.Official guidance

Who collects trash in Sierra Vista?

The City's Public Works Department collects residential trash twice a week, on either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, for addresses inside the city limits and at Fort Huachuca. City Ordinance requires sanitation service at residential properties, and trash and sewer are billed together every other month.Official guidance

Who do I call about a pickup?

Public Works at (520) 458-5775 answers trash, bulky item and green waste questions. Special pickups, bin problems and the dumpster rental program all go through the same number, and dumpster rental requests can also go to Utilities@SierraVistaAZ.gov or (520) 458-3315.Official guidance

Does Sierra Vista collect recycling at the curb?

No. The City ended curbside recycling in 2019 when global demand for recyclable materials fell, and it points residents to drop-off locations around the city instead. The City still runs its compost program, Christmas tree recycling, fats, oils and grease recycling and household hazardous waste disposal events.Official guidance

How do I get rid of green waste?

City sanitation customers in good standing get a free curbside green waste pickup, scheduled through Public Works at (520) 458-5775 with requests in by 4:00 p.m. Monday for the following Wednesday. Green waste can also go to the City compost facility on Highway 90, where a sanitation customer with a current bill drops it free and the facility refuses lumber, metal, dirt, rocks, stumps and construction debris.Official guidance
