$8 per item for furniture, a sofa or a chair at a Maricopa County transfer station. Maricopa County residents delivering the item themselves to a county transfer station, with payment by debit or credit card only. A private hauler arranges a curbside pickup separately.

Get it ready
Bring the piece to the station as a single item so it can be priced on the furniture row, keep it separate from recyclable material in the load, and unload it yourself because the stations are self-service drop-offs.
Separate recyclable material from the rest of the load before arrival, because the stations have designated recycling areas, and arrive early enough to finish unloading before closing time. The last hour of the day is the busiest, and payment is by debit or credit card only because cash is not accepted at any county transfer station.
