Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Drywall, plaster, scrap lumber, flooring, carpet or padding and roofing material are prohibited in the bulk pile, and construction debris and insulation are refused at the Household Products Collection Center as well. The route is the Sky Harbor Regional Transfer Station, which accepts construction and demolition debris and gives Tempe Solid Waste customers with curbside or alley collection up to 1,000 lbs a month at no additional charge.

When & how
The transfer station is open Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Sundays and major holidays, and the final load has to arrive within 30 minutes of closing.
Get it ready
Bring the most recent Tempe utility services bill and a driver license with a matching address, and have the account holder make the trip, because nobody may dispose of waste on someone else's behalf. Wear a safety vest at the station and add a hard hat with a dump trailer.
Trash and green organics go into two distinct piles four feet apart, and every item stays four feet away from a solid waste container, fire hydrant, gas meter, telephone or utility box. Nothing goes over a manhole cover, curbside addresses keep the pile on the property line in the street or at the front edge of the driveway without blocking the sidewalk, and alley addresses keep it along the fence line without blocking the alley.
The Household Products Collection Center and the Zero Waste Day event use the same procedure: have identification ready, load the material into the rear-most part of the vehicle such as the truck bed, trunk or rear hatch and never the front or back seat, transport it in cardboard boxes rather than plastic bags, and stay in the vehicle while staff unload. Boxes are not returned, and the center refuses items that arrive in garbage bags.
