Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.
You do not need a whole house of junk. Select the bags, boxes and larger items you actually have. Your combined price is shown online.

A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Alhambra runs a bulky item sweep on the regular trash collection day. Six or fewer bulky items need no scheduling, and a larger pile is booked with Republic Services.
Chairs, sofas, rugs, cabinets, futons, beds and tables are named on the bulky item accepted list and go out curbside on the trash collection day.
Mattresses and box springs are named inside the bulky item furniture list, so bedding rides the same free curbside sweep.
Washers, dryers, water heaters, dishwashers, stoves, refrigerators and small household appliances are accepted, but an appliance pickup has to be scheduled and a unit that holds refrigerant must have it removed first.
Television sets and television and VCR combinations are eligible for the free scheduled e-waste pickup, and they cannot go in the trash or the bulky pile unscheduled.
Computer monitors, CPUs, keyboards, mice, printers, scanners, cell phones, radios and similar electronics are collected through the free scheduled e-waste pickup.
Exercise equipment is not named on the accepted furniture list or the refused list, so the hauler has to confirm the machine before it goes to the curb.
The handoff matters
Bulky items go out on your normal trash collection day, no earlier than noon on the day before collection and no later than 6 a.m. on the collection day, and they must not block the street, sidewalk or driveway or Code Enforcement may ask you to take them back in. Six or fewer items need no appointment, a larger pile is booked with Republic Services, and a gated complex keeps the pile at the curb or in the alley because the driver cannot go beyond the gate.

Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.

Move everything to an accessible outdoor spot before pickup; indoor carrying and sorting are not included.
