Set appliances, electronics, tubes, trimmings and tires to one side
Appliances, electronic waste, fluorescent tubes, lumber and tree trimmings and up to four tires go to one side of the bulky material and may be collected by a different truck, so say when booking that you have them. Tubes are limited to four feet with no ballasts, trimmings to four inches wide and five feet long with no treated wood, and tires to four with rims allowed.
Keep hazardous waste and cart material out of the pile
Batteries, chemicals, oil, paint, propane tanks and fluorescent ballasts are refused on the bulky route and go to a household hazardous waste drop-off instead, where the county takes up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds per month at no fee. Anything that belongs in the garbage, organics or recycling cart stays out of the pile, along with liquids, glass panes, hot ashes and business waste.

Book the yearly bulky waste appointment
Unincorporated-area addresses with furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronic waste, trimmings, up to four tires or other acceptable bulky material inside five cubic yards.
Cost & conditions
No charge. One appointment for five cubic yards every twelve months is included in the standard residential curbside collection service for the unincorporated area, and the twelve month period starts when the service is used. Extra volume costs more, fifteen cubic yards is the maximum for one pickup, and further appointments are charged.

Arrive at least 15 minutes before closing, cover and secure the load because that is the law, remove fluids and removable batteries first, and take products with built-in batteries to an electronic waste programme only. Kiefer may close early when the daily vehicle limit is reached.
