The City publishes the Orange Way facility as the household hazardous waste and electronic waste drop-off, with its Saturday hours and residency requirements, but publishes no fee for it, and the rate schedule prices only the large or bulky item collection a household can use instead. When & how
Take the material to the household hazardous waste facility at 16454 Orange Way on a Saturday between 8 a.m. and 12 noon, on a weekend that is not one of the published holiday closures, or book a large or bulky item pickup with Burrtec instead.
Get it ready
Keep electronics and batteries out of all three barrels, because electronic waste is on the City's hazardous waste list and household batteries are accepted with it at the same facility. Wipe personal data from a computer, phone or drive before it leaves the property, and bring a California identification card showing a Fontana address.
Call Burrtec to arrange a large or bulky item collection and put the items at the curb on the confirmed day. A household gets three of those collections a year at no charge, and a collection beyond the three is billed from the published rate schedule with a service charge and a per item charge.
