Each free bulky collection is bags or items, never a mix
Book the collection at 408.842.3358 and choose one option. Option one is up to twelve 32-gallon bags of garbage, all bagged, boxed or bundled with nothing loose, which is about two cubic yards or a pile three feet by six feet by three feet. Option two is two items such as appliances, furniture or electronic waste, with a mattress and box spring set counting as one item, and each item has to be under six feet long, under 200 pounds and manageable by one person.
Curbside by 6 a.m. and cancel a day ahead or lose the pickup
Bulky items have to be at the curb by 6 a.m. on the scheduled collection day, and a household that is not out before the truck arrives forfeits that free collection. A cancellation has to reach customer service at least one business day before the appointment, unused collections do not roll over into the next calendar year, the account must be current rather than past due, and the programme covers residential customers inside the city of Gilroy, with multi-family properties arranging collections through the owner or manager.
Food scraps and yard trimmings go in the green organics cart
Organics, recycling and garbage carts are all collected weekly. Food scraps, food-soiled paper such as greasy pizza boxes, napkins and uncoated paper plates, and yard trimmings such as leaves, grass clippings and branches go in the 96-gallon green organics cart, with paper rather than plastic used to collect food scraps, and oleander, poison oak and palm trees are not accepted in that cart.

Arrange it
Drive to 14070 Llagas Avenue in San Martin on a Tuesday to Saturday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., and bring proof of Recology billing if the load contains recyclables.
Closed Sunday and Monday. The station refuses household hazardous waste entirely and refuses treated wood, and construction material has to arrive without dirt, rock, concrete or brick and without being mixed into garbage or plastic bags.
