Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Electronic waste goes to the authority site free any time it is open, with no appointment needed.

No charge. Electronic waste can be brought to the Kings Waste and Recycling Authority facility free any time it is open, with no appointment, and Hanford is one of the authority's member cities.
When & how
Drive to 7803 E. Hanford-Armona Road during the site's Monday to Saturday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. hours, tell the staff you have electronic waste, and let them take it from there.
Get it ready
Keep televisions, computers, cell phones and similar devices out of every curbside cart, because the hauler's container rules refuse electronic waste, and wipe or reset anything that stores data.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Use the right cart and keep the rest separate

Weekly collection uses three 96 gallon carts: green for greenwaste and food waste, blue for recyclables and black for refuse. Household hazardous waste, electronic waste and universal waste stay out of all three and go to the authority site instead, and mattresses go to the city drop-off on 10th Avenue.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Cost & conditions
Electronic waste and universal waste are published as free, and household hazardous waste is free on designated days, but no fee schedule for general self-haul loads is in the retained pages, so confirm the charge for anything else.
Arrange it
Drive to 7803 E. Hanford-Armona Road, one mile south of Highway 198 off Highway 43, open Monday to Saturday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Sundays and holidays.

No hot ashes and no liquid waste, disassembled auto bodies only, no scavenging, and hazardous waste is refused except on designated household hazardous waste days. A load check programme is in effect.

Open the site rules

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Hanford's own solid waste division runs the weekly three-cart collection, and two free routes handle the awkward items: mattresses, box springs and futons go to the city drop-off at 900 S. 10th Avenue on weekdays and every third Saturday, and electronic waste goes to the Kings Waste and Recycling Authority site free any time it is open, with universal waste such as batteries and fluorescent tubes free on the same basis and household hazardous waste free on the authority's designated days. For everything else the city publishes no curbside bulky programme, so a furniture, appliance or mixed load goes through the county-area hauler's paid bulky item collection arranged on its intake form, or by self-haul to the authority site at 7803 E. Hanford-Armona Road, which is open Monday to Saturday and refuses hot ashes, liquid waste, hazardous waste outside its designated days and anything but disassembled auto bodies on the vehicle side. Construction and demolition material is refused in the carts and needs a roll-off bin or a separated self-haul load. worth knowing.

How much does TV removal cost in Hanford?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Hanford?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
