Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions, computers and other electronics

Accepted with preparation

The city lists on-call electronic waste collection as part of the residential service, with no limit on how often it is requested, and the hauler's flyer names electronics among the bulky items it will take. Televisions, computers and similar devices therefore leave from the curb on request rather than going in a cart.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Included with the residential service for single-family addresses and multi-family complexes with fewer than four units, with on-call electronic waste collection described as unlimited; the item still has to fit the bulky item size and weight limits.
When & how
Book the e-waste pickup with the same channels as a bulky request, at least 24 hours before your service day, or take the device to a Los Angeles County collection event or permanent center.
Get it ready
Wipe or reset anything that stores personal data before handover, keep screens whole and separate from other material, and keep batteries out of the pile because they belong at the hazardous waste facility the county operates.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Nothing goes out until the pickup is confirmed

The bulky service is on call, so the request comes first: the hauler asks for at least 24 hours of notice and tells residents not to place items out without scheduling and receiving a confirmation. Requests can be made through the online form, an itemized email or the phone line, and each pickup allows up to four items a week.

Each item has a weight and a size ceiling

Every bulky item has to be under 150 pounds and no larger than eight feet long by four feet wide, and the four item weekly allowance is counted per piece, so two couches, a refrigerator and a television use the whole allowance for that week. Anything over the limits cannot be loaded by the crew and needs another route.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Huntington Park is a curbside city rather than a drop-off city, so the self-haul routes are the hauler's own on-call service and the county network. A household books a bulky, electronic waste or sharps pickup with Valley Vista Services at least 24 hours before its service day, and the pickup takes up to four items a week with each item under 150 pounds and within eight feet by four feet. Anything the hauler refuses goes elsewhere: construction and demolition material needs a private container, and hazardous material, batteries and often electronics go to the Los Angeles County collection network, either at one of the free one-day drive-through events that usually run on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. or at a permanent center such as the Washington Blvd S.A.F.E. Center, which is open on weekends, requires an address, and takes up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds a trip. Used oil, tires and other special items follow the city's own links to the county and CalRecycle programs. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Huntington Park.

How much does TV removal cost in Huntington Park?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Huntington Park?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

How do televisions and computers leave a Huntington Park home?

Through the on-call electronic waste collection that comes with the residential service, or through the county network if you would rather drive it. The city describes the e-waste pickup as unlimited on request, the hauler flyer lists electronics among the accepted bulky items, and a device still has to fit the same size and weight limits.Official guidance
