Get it ready
Keep the load to four items for the week and off the curbside longer than the 24 hour rule allows, and keep hazardous material such as oil based paint, car batteries and pesticides out of it.
The city ordinance does not allow garbage or garbage containers to be left at the curbside for more than 24 hours, and the same 24 hour rule applies to a bulky item or electronic waste set-out before its scheduled pickup. Keeping the curb clear also discourages illegal dumping.
Book five days ahead and keep to four items a week
Bulky item and electronic waste pickups are free and unlimited in number, but each request has to reach Burrtec at least five days before the regular garbage collection day, the material goes out no more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup, and Burrtec collects a maximum of four items a week.

Can you pick up my couch today?+
Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Available dates appear at checkout. Have the couch outside and accessible according to your confirmation. We send pickup updates and photos when it is done; the booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time.
How do I book a sectional for removal?+
Open Sectional in the sofa choices, count its structural sections, and select any sleeper or reclining feature. Count the sections with their own bases, not loose cushions. The matching catalog choice covers one complete sectional of that configuration. Text a photo before booking if you are unsure.
Will you carry my couch out of my apartment?+
Dropcurb starts outside. Arrange for the sofa to be moved through the apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load and haul it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Arrange any dismantling needed to get it outside beforehand.
Do I need to wait at home for couch pickup?+
You do not need to be home when your booked sofa is outside and accessible. Add photos and pickup-location notes to your order so the right pieces are easy to identify. We send updates and completion photos. Confirm any building access restrictions with us before booking.
Can a couch go out with the Indio trash?+

Who collects trash in Indio?+
Burrtec Waste and Recycling Services is the city's franchised hauler under an agreement effective July 1, 2022, and the ordinance requires the franchised hauler to provide collection. Residential garbage and recyclables are collected weekly on the designated service day.
