A mattress, box spring and bed frame are separate items. Add only what you need removed, and see the combined price before booking.
Three parts. Choose only the ones going.
Mattress
Choose twin, full, queen or king / California king. The mattress choice covers the mattress itself. A topper is a different item.
Box spring or foundation
Add the non-powered support beneath the mattress separately. Choose its size. If you have a split foundation, send a photo so we can help you count it.
Frame or adjustable base
Choose the frame that matches yours. A powered adjustable base has its own option. Include these only if they are leaving with the mattress.

Your place. One easy pickup plan.
A house, a condo or an apartment. Choose an accessible outdoor spot that works for your property. You arrange the move outside; we take it from there.
If a new mattress is arriving, check whether your retailer is taking the old one. If you need Dropcurb, choose a day when you can have it outside. A delivery window and a pickup day are different arrangements.
2
Arrange the trip outside.
Plan for doorways, elevators and interior stairs before pickup day. You arrange any indoor carrying. Use a permitted outdoor location and keep entrances and the walking path open.
3
Make the right mattress easy to find.
Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. Add a location photo and clear access notes so your hauler can identify exactly what is going.
You’re in the loop. Until it’s gone.
Confirmation when you book. A heads-up before arrival. Photos when it’s done.
A mattress is not named in the hauler's bulky examples, which are a chair, a couch, washers, dryers and sofas, so bedding has to be confirmed before it is booked as a bulky item.
City cost & eligibility
CR&R publishes no mattress item and no mattress charge, so confirm whether a mattress or box spring counts as one of the two free bulky items, or whether it needs another route, by calling customer service at (800) 755-8112 before booking.
When & how
Call before booking the pickup, then use the bulky allowance or the city's cleanup drop-off event as the hauler or the city directs.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress inside the two-item allowance if it is accepted, keep it out of the trash and recycling carts, and keep it away from the cleanup event rules that require the vehicle to be unloaded by the resident.
Two items, two free pickups, booked for the regular day
Bulky pickups are not a separate collection week: CR&R takes them on the regular waste collection day once they are arranged through its online scheduling service. Each residential customer gets two pickups of up to two items each free in a calendar year, and the definition matters as much as the count, because a bulky item is something a two-person crew can handle. Additional pickups beyond the allowance are provided for a nominal charge.
The city cleanup event needs an entrance notice and your own unloading
The city and CR&R sponsor a free bulky item drop-off event at 500 Diamond Drive that is open to Lake Elsinore residents only. Admission requires the entrance notice that arrives with the CR&R billing, the resident unloads their own vehicle, all material goes into the provided containers, and no children or pets are allowed outside a vehicle. The published material is dated 2025, so confirm the next date with CR&R at (800) 755-8112 or the city at 951-674-3124 extension 245 before loading.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
City of Lake Elsinore and CR&R Environmental Services
Book a free bulky item pickup
A Lake Elsinore household with a couch, a chair, a sofa, a washer, a dryer or another household item that will not fit in the automated containers.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Two bulky item pickups of up to two items each, free of charge per calendar year for each residential customer. Additional pickups are provided for a nominal charge.
Arrange it
Arrange the pickup through CR&R's online scheduling service and set the items out on the regular waste collection day by 6 a.m.
Two items per pickup, two free pickups a calendar year, and the item has to be something a two-person crew can handle. Oversized or overweight items and anything on the refused lists need a container or the county programme instead.
City of Lake Elsinore and CR&R Environmental Services
Use the city and CR&R cleanup drop-off event
A Lake Elsinore household with appliances, furniture, mattresses or other bulky material to unload itself rather than waiting for a booked pickup.
Cost & conditions
No charge. The event is sponsored by the City of Lake Elsinore and CR&R and described as a free bulky item drop-off, open to City of Lake Elsinore residents only, with admission by the entrance notice sent with the CR&R billing.
Arrange it
Take the load to 500 Diamond Drive, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530 when an event is scheduled, and unload it yourself into the provided containers.
Residents only, entrance notice required, no children or pets outside a vehicle, and the resident does all the unloading. The published event material is dated 2025 and no recurring schedule is printed, so confirm the date first.
Bulky household items brought by City of Lake Elsinore residents during a scheduled cleanup event sponsored by the city and CR&R Incorporated. The county event page publishes the site, the sponsorship and the rules but no item list beyond the bulky item description, so what the containers take is confirmed with CR&R at (800) 755-8112.
Open to City of Lake Elsinore residents only, admission requires the entrance notice that comes with the CR&R billing, the resident unloads their own vehicle, everything goes into the provided containers, and no children or pets are allowed outside a vehicle. The published material is dated 2025, so the next date has to be confirmed with CR&R or the city at 951-674-3124 extension 245.
Set by each cleanup event rather than published on the page, so confirm the date and the gate hours before loading.

Before you book
A few things worth knowing.
Mattress removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Lake Elsinore.
How much does mattress removal cost in Lake Elsinore?+
The price depends on the mattress size you choose. A queen mattress is $99 as the first item and $30 as an additional item. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Add any box spring or frame separately, then review your total and any applicable tax before payment.
Can I book same-day mattress pickup in Lake Elsinore?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout. Have the mattress outside and accessible according to your confirmation. Your booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time, and we text you when your hauler is on the way.
Is my box spring or bed frame included in mattress removal?+
The mattress price covers the mattress only. Add your box spring, bed frame or adjustable base separately if those are going too. Choose the size and type that match each item. The combined price appears before booking.
Will you carry my mattress downstairs or out of my apartment?+
Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange to move the mattress out of your apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load it and take it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Check your building’s access rules before arranging the move outside.
Can you pick up my old mattress when my new one arrives?+
You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed. Dropcurb books a pickup day, not the retailer’s delivery window. Contact us before booking if access is limited to a short time.
Can a mattress go out with a Lake Elsinore bulky pickup?+
CR&R's bulky examples name a chair, a couch, washers, dryers and sofas, and the city's cleanup drop-off event is the other bulky route, so call (800) 755-8112 to confirm how a mattress or box spring should be handled before setting it out. If it is accepted, it counts against the two free pickups of up to two items each a year.Official guidance
Who collects trash and bulky items in Lake Elsinore?+
CR&R Environmental Services collects residential trash, recycling, organics and bulky items under the city's franchise, with customer service at (800) 755-8112 and an online scheduling service for bulky pickups. The city's trash and recycling page indexes the programmes and links the current schedule of rates, and the county handles household hazardous waste and e-waste.Official guidance
