The hauler also collects bulky items free of charge on the regular trash day, with up to five large items at the curb three times a year and no appointment cost, as long as the load is furniture, an appliance, electronic equipment or something similar rather than a car body or renovation debris. Household hazardous waste goes to one of the two city collection events a year or to any of the four Orange County centers, free to county residents, and batteries drop off at city facilities from City Hall to the recreation centers.
