Get a text when your hauler is on the way and photos when the job is done. With your TV outside and accessible, you don’t need to stay home for pickup.
The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. One television or computer monitor per free quarterly bulky pickup, which is limited to three items in total. Electronic waste is also free at the South Bay Regional drop-off center within the per-vehicle limit.

Include the screen in a bulky pickup request to EDCO, or take it to the South Bay Regional Household Hazardous Waste drop-off center at 1800 Maxwell Road in Chula Vista, open Wednesdays and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. except holidays.
Get it ready
Keep the screen whole and out of every cart, and remember that only one television or computer monitor counts per bulky pickup. At the drop-off, bring a California driver's license, ID or recent utility bill and stay within 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle.
The bulky pickup is free each quarter for up to three acceptable items, set at the curb or the end of the driveway by 6 a.m. on the appointed day, which is generally the regular cart collection day, and a separate truck collects them.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
National City households with furniture, scrap metal, appliances, one television or computer monitor, or other acceptable large items, up to three per pickup.

National City contracts collection to EDCO Disposal. The free route for large items is the quarterly bulky pickup, limited to three items that go at the curb or the end of the driveway by 6 a.m. on the appointed day, and the acceptable list covers furniture, scrap metal, stoves, refrigerators, air conditioners, microwave ovens, water heaters and one television or computer monitor. A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.
Can I get same-day TV pickup in National City?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.
Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?+
You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.
Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?+
Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.
Does my old TV have to work?+
Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
How many televisions can go out in one bulky pickup?+
One television or computer monitor is on the hauler's acceptable list for the free quarterly bulky pickup, which is limited to three items in total. Additional electronic waste can go to the free regional drop-off center in Chula Vista.Official guidance
