Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Novato's self-haul route is the Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 7576 Redwood Blvd, which serves Novato residents without an appointment on four days a month and takes electronic waste, televisions, paint, batteries, motor oil, sharps and small propane tanks. Residents outside Novato use the county facility in San Rafael, which excludes this city. Household batteries can also go in a sealed clear bag on top of the blue recycling cart on collection day, and a free residential electronic waste pickup runs on Mondays and Thursdays except holidays.
