Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.
Desks and bookshelves
Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

No charge. One free on-call collection per household or unit every twelve months, within three cubic yards and three large items of up to 150 pounds each. Reusable items are collected in the same set-out when they are set apart and labelled.

Keep each item under 150 pounds, contain loose or multiple small items in a bag or box, keep the pile clear of street and sidewalk access, and label clean undamaged reusable pieces REUSE and keep them separate from the landfill pile.
At the kerb by 6 a.m. and never more than a day early
Place items curbside or at the arranged collection location by 6 a.m. on the scheduled pickup day, and do not set anything out more than 24 hours in advance. Keep the pile clear of street and sidewalk access.

Label clean undamaged reusable pieces REUSE and keep them apart from the landfill pile so the crew can route them to donation. Bag, box or bundle loose, small or multiple items, and keep each large item under 150 pounds.

Items over 150 pounds, abandoned automobiles, tires, dirt, rocks, construction and demolition debris, and household hazardous waste are refused. Appointments are unavailable in the first two weeks of January, and multi-family addresses must agree a collection location with the building manager first.
Households with clean, undamaged furniture, housewares, toys, sports equipment, clothing, books or media that can be used again.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Reusable items are collected in the same free on-call set-out when they are set apart and labelled REUSE, and the page lists Goodwill, the Salvation Army, StopWaste's RE:Source guide and Freecycle as donation alternatives.
Arrange it

Reuse is not guaranteed: the programme depends on market conditions and the donation organisation's acceptance rules, and no receipt is given for collected reusable items.
Alameda has no municipal transfer station in the retained sources; the bulky route is the franchised hauler's on-call collection, which every residential customer can book once per household or unit every twelve months at no charge, within three cubic yards and three large items of up to 150 pounds each. One of the three items may be electronic waste, and clean undamaged reusable pieces set apart and labelled REUSE go to a donation facility rather than the landfill. You arrange any disassembly needed to move the furniture out of your home and into an accessible outdoor pickup spot. Dropcurb does not provide indoor disassembly or carrying. If you are unsure which catalog choice matches a dismantled or unusual piece, send a photo and ask before booking.
