The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Get it ready
A television or monitor counts against the two-item limit. Printers, small peripherals and other electronics are not documented by the District, so confirm acceptance before setting anything out.
Under Ordinance No. 53 of the Midway City Sanitary District, no curbside container may be placed next to a street more than 24 hours before collection time, every container must be removed from the street within 12 hours after collection, and containers must be kept where they are not visible from the street.
The District observes New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When the holiday falls on or before your service day, refuse collection is one day later for the entire week, and service does not change on any other holiday.

No charge. Ratepayers the District serves in the Midway City and Westminster areas. The District lists the Bulky Item Program among the services provided at no extra cost.

Call (714) 893-3553 or email info@midwaycitysanitaryca.gov at least one week before the service date you want, and describe the items being set out.
Two items per household every thirty days, and mattresses, box springs and the District's exclusion list are not collected.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Free to residents served by the District at any of Orange County's four household hazardous waste collection centers. The centers cannot accept waste from businesses, churches, schools, non-profit organizations or government agencies.

Take the material to the nearest County collection center during the published hours, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and confirm current details at 714-834-4000.
The centers are closed on major holidays and during rainy weather, and commercial or institutional waste is refused.
