Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction material and clean up debris

Special rules apply

Construction debris is refused on the large item pickup, but the city's two seasonal drop off events take wood, drywall, windows, doors, decking, carpet and flooring while refusing concrete, bricks, paints, stains and chemicals.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. The seasonal alley cleanup and the drop off events are free to Edgewater residents. No municipal rate exists for construction debris as a paid service, and the city refuses concrete, bricks, dirt, rocks, cement, paints and chemicals at every one of its own events, so that material needs a private hauler or a licensed facility.
When & how
The alley and curbside cleanups run Saturday March 14 and Saturday October 3, 2026 with items out by 7 a.m., and the drop off events run at the Jefferson Junior and Senior High School north lot on Saturday March 21 and Saturday October 17, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Get it ready
Bag or bundle everything, keep every bag or bundle under fifty pounds, and cut long pieces to no longer than four feet. Separate the load by category, because construction material accepts wood, drywall, windows, doors, decking, carpet and flooring and refuses concrete, bricks, paints, stains and chemicals, while the cleanup refuses concrete, dirt, chemicals, fertilizers, paints, hazardous waste, tires, batteries and vehicle fluids as well.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Bag, bundle and cut everything for a city collection

For a large item pickup the city sizes each piece the way its list describes it, with doors cut in half and glass free, garage doors taken at four feet per section, a couch charged per section and anything with a cord taped to the item. For the alley cleanup and the drop off days, items go out by 7 a.m., everything is bagged or bundled, no bag or bundle is over fifty pounds, and long pieces are cut to four feet, with branches bundled in four foot lengths no larger than eighteen inches in diameter.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Edgewater keeps most material inside two channels. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Edgewater.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Edgewater?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Edgewater?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

How do I get rid of construction debris in Edgewater?

Construction debris is refused on the large item pickup, so the city routes it through its seasonal events: the drop off days take wood, drywall, windows, doors, decking, carpet and flooring, and they refuse concrete, bricks, paints, stains and chemicals. Material the city will not take needs a private hauler or a licensed facility.Official guidance

Who handles trash and recycling in Edgewater?

Republic Services collects trash and recycling under the city program, with trash every Thursday and recycling every other Thursday, and Scraps runs the separate weekly compost subscription on Wednesdays. The service is billed on the Edgewater utility account, and billing questions go to 720-763-3060.Official guidance

How does the two item reimbursement work?

The city reimburses an Edgewater account for two large items a calendar year at up to 27.50 an item, either in one pickup or across two, with anything beyond that charged to the utility account at Republic Services pricing. Collections run on the first and third Tuesday of the month and the application is due the Wednesday before.Official guidance

Where do paint and chemicals go in Edgewater?

To the Rooney Road Recycling Center at 151 South Rooney Road in Golden, open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. by appointment, with a lunch closure between 12 and 1 p.m. A Jefferson County resident pays a co-pay for the first 75 pounds with a per pound charge after that, while paint products, automotive batteries, motor oil and one pound propane cylinders are listed as free. The centre's own pages disagree on one pound propane cylinders, listing them on the household hazardous waste page as free and on the pricing page as an 8 dollar 15 cent exception, so confirm the cylinder and the current charge at 303-316-6262 before loading.Official guidance

Where do televisions and computers go in Edgewater?

Electronics are refused on the city large item pickup, so they go to the Rooney Road Recycling Center, where electronic waste and televisions are charged by the pound and each television is capped at a maximum charge, or to a city drop off day at 2305 Pierce St., where electronic recycling is free and CRT monitors and televisions are limited to three per customer.Official guidance

What will the city leave at the curb?

Anything on the refused list is left behind, including air conditioners, appliances with Freon, refrigerators and freezers, batteries, cast iron, cement, chemicals and paint, construction debris, dirt, rocks, bricks, electronics, exercise equipment and weights, treadmills, exercise bikes, ellipticals, glass and mirrors, glass doors and windows, hazardous and medical waste, porcelain tubs, stumps, tires and windshields.Official guidance
