You’ve moved on. Your old electronics haven’t.

The new laptop is working. The old monitor, tower and printer are still taking up a corner. Give the equipment you no longer use a pickup day, with the price settled before anyone arrives.

Choose the right items

One computer setup can be several items.

A separate monitor and tower count separately. Small devices and cables have their own box option. Choose what is actually leaving so your price matches the pickup.

Monitor, desktop or laptop.

Choose Computer monitor for each separate display. Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. A laptop is its own item. Add only the devices going.

Printer or office copier.

A printer with a built-in scanner belongs under Printer. A floor-standing copy machine belongs under Office copier. The shape matters more than the brand.

A box of smaller electronics.

Use Box of electronics for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. For a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries, send a photo and confirm the fit before booking.

Televisions and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Electronics go free to the city's hard-to-recycle event each April or to Eco-Cycle CHaRM, and they never go in the carts. The county hazardous waste facility refuses them.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Free to Lafayette residents at the hard-to-recycle event with registration and proof of residency. Eco-Cycle CHaRM charges a facility fee and material fees for electronics.
When & how
Register for the hard-to-recycle event, held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 8 a.m. to noon at 201 Waneka Parkway, or drop electronics at CHaRM at 6400 Arapahoe Road on any open day.
Get it ready
Delete personal data before handover, tape the terminals of household batteries, and leave broken glass cathode ray tube or projection televisions out of the event load, because the event refuses them.

Republic Services under the City Three Cart Program

Register for the April hard-to-recycle event

A household with small electronics, batteries, paint, cleaning supplies, scrap metal, paper to shred, bikes or yard debris.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Free to Lafayette residents who register in advance, arrive during the assigned time slot and show a Lafayette water utility bill or mail plus identification.
Arrange it
Register when the event registration opens, then arrive at the Flatirons Church back parking lot, 201 Waneka Parkway, during your time slot.

The event refuses broken glass cathode ray tube and projection televisions, and it takes only the published list, so hazardous material, appliances that hold freon and construction debris need a different route.

With a new purchase

Use the Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials

A household with electronics, appliances, a freon refrigerator or freezer, a mattress or other hard-to-recycle material.

Cost & conditions
CHaRM charges a three dollar facility fee for every vehicle plus material fees from its published fee chart, so confirm the material fee before loading a large item.
Arrange it
Drive to 6400 Arapahoe Road in Boulder during open hours, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and stop at the CHaRM window to have the fees assessed.

No appointments are taken, the facility is closed Sunday, and every vehicle pays the facility fee. Electronics customers are directed to a second register in the electronics zone.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

A Lafayette household that hauls its own material has two main destinations. Boulder County's Hazardous Materials Management Facility at 1901 63rd Street in Boulder takes household chemicals, paint, oil and batteries free from county residents on Wednesday through Saturday with no appointment, and it refuses appliances, electronics and ordinary trash. Eco-Cycle's Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials at 6400 Arapahoe Road takes electronics, appliances including freon units, mattresses and hard-to-recycle plastics Monday through Saturday for a facility fee plus material fees, with no appointment, and it is the destination the city names for freon container appliances. worth knowing.

Electronics removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Lafayette.

How much does electronics pickup cost in Lafayette?

A computer monitor is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Choose the actual devices and quantities to see your combined price online. A separate desktop tower and monitor are separate items. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; review the total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can you pick up old electronics today in Lafayette?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout and have the prepared items outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done. The booking is for a day, not an exact arrival time.

Does computer removal include my monitor and printer?

Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. Add a separate monitor, printer or laptop as its own item if it is going too. For small devices, cables and chargers together, choose Box of electronics and check the description before booking.

Do you erase data from old computers?

Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away. Completion photos confirm the pickup, not data destruction.Official guidance

Can I book one box of old cables and small electronics?

Yes. Box of electronics is an existing option for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. A monitor, desktop computer and printer each have their own item option. Send a photo before booking for a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries so we can confirm the fit.
