In Lone Tree, only the city containers are collected

No charge. The clean up is part of the city's free single-family service, offered over four designated weeks in the spring and fall, and no separate charge is published.
Arrange it
Set the yard waste out with the regular collection day during the announced week. In 2026 the spring window was the weeks of May 4, May 11, May 18 and May 25, and the fall window follows the leaf drop in October or November with the dates mailed to households.
Five bundles of branches up to four feet long and ten bags of yard waste up to 40 pounds each per week, and only during the announced weeks, because material outside the containers is refused at any other time.
A household with construction debris, inert material, furniture, an appliance, tires or a mattress that no curbside route takes.
Cost & conditions
From $106 for the published base rate per ton at Sedalia Landfill, with mattress, tire, Freon recovery, shingle, pull off, dig out and special burial charges listed separately on the same sheet. Payment is by cash or credit card and the facility does not take checks. Loads are weighed at the scale, and a vehicle that is not back on the scale before closing is charged an after hours rate.
Arrange it
Take the load to 5970 North Hwy 85 in Sedalia, open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and arrive early enough to unload, because no hand unloads or pull offs are allowed in the half hour before closing.
The landfill refuses paint, pesticides, ammunition, residential and restaurant waste, food waste, medical waste, auto fluids, liquid waste, hazardous or radioactive waste, friable asbestos, dead animals, fresh grass clippings, manure, batteries and electronic waste.
