The Front Range Landfill at 1830 Weld County Road 5 in Erie takes household waste, construction material, furniture, mattresses, white goods and a treadmill or piano without its computer, at published rates from a car load minimum up to per ton charges, with white goods, couches and mattresses priced per item, and it charges double for an uncovered load. It refuses refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, electronics, batteries, liquids, propane containers, fluorescent bulbs, tires and hazardous waste, and those go to the town's household hazardous waste facilities in Greeley on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday or in Dacono on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The town also issues Clean-Up Days vouchers for one free load up to one ton at the landfill, one per household or property owner. Electronic devices have been banned from Colorado landfills since July 1, 2013, and the landfill lists computer monitors, laptops, printers, stereos and similar devices as refused, so the load has to go to a county household hazardous waste facility or a registered electronics recycler. Loads must be covered and secured, and anyone leaving the vehicle needs a reflective vest.
Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Payment is accepted by American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa credit or debit cards.
From $141 for minimum charge for a car load at the Front Range Landfill, with a pickup load below the cab at $175.00 and above the cab at $236.00, household and municipal solid waste at $98.00 per ton with a $196.00 minimum, white goods at $80.00 each, a couch, loveseat or sectional at $74.00 each, a mattress or box spring at $74.00 each, and clean soil, sod and mulch at $18.00 per ton with a $36.00 minimum.
