City cost & eligibility
No charge. At the Hard to Recycle event the first television or screen is free, additional screens cost $1.00 per screen inch for a flat screen and $3.00 per inch for a CRT, and desktop and laptop computers, cell phones, cameras, game consoles, stereo equipment, cables and wires are free, while corded items and small appliances are free for the first 40 pounds and $0.40 per pound after that.

Erase personal data before the device leaves your hands, keep electronics out of the trash cart and off the large item pickup because both refuse them, and check the item against the event's list because items such as light bulbs and chemicals belong at the Boulder County facility instead.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away. The city refuses large electronics such as televisions, computers and microwaves on the large item pickup and in the trash cart.
